If we did that, how could we pay our legislature's salaries? Cause they can give themselves raises in midnight sessions, and we are all supposed to forget about it three months later.rich_t Thanks this.

Ain't that the #### sad truth? -
Yep. Too bad for them I still remember. Yeah...
-
I thought that that was only is states that recognize it thought. Which as far as I know, right now, are only CA and WV.
-
If that were the case...Then the other states don't recognize the DPF's and the SCR's on rigs....
-
as i said yesterday i am new at this, so what are DPF's and SCR's
-
DPF is a Diesel Particulate Filter ....
Mandatory for rigs 2007 and newer...
SCR is a Selective catalytic reduction (unit)
Mandatory in 2010 and newer trucks....They add about $10-15K to the price of a new rig...
rookietrucker Thanks this. -
Wow, that diagram of the SCR brought flashbacks of my days as a powerplant operator. Sure glad I'm out of that world after 29 years.
-
DPF and SCR are federal regulations though. Idling is left up to the states. California says you can't idle unless you have a California Clean Air Idle sticker. Other states can say you can't idle, and don't have to recognize the California sticker.
