Another semi slams into stopped traffic

According to several news outlets the driver is being charged. Considering the name is being hidden i have a guess what type of driver was driving. Could be wrong sure and if so ill eat my crow... but there does seem to be a pattern to unreleased names....

 

This is rich. The ATA is suddenly out in front of "unqualified" drivers

ATA calls again for “enforcement surge” to crack down on underqualified truckers

 

They also doubled down on the "shortage" ######## again. There is no shortage, there is a retention problem.

 

Pay me better, let me drive what I want and when I want, and don’t force cpap on me to keep my license and i will come out of retirement for another 20 years.

 

It's a pay problem.

 

As i said retention problem. And pay is defo a part. But there are more issues then just a bit of pay

 

I know what you're getting at, but it's clear that drivers will work under abusive conditions. They just won't do it if they can't eat and pay the rent. Color me cynical but I think it all really just comes down to pay.

 

Huh? What does pay have to do with slamming into innocent people? I don't know. Don't hire folks with false CDL's.
