    Ford 427
    • Engine Family: Ford FE series.
    • Characteristics: High-revving, race-oriented engine with a smaller bore and a 3.785-inch stroke.
    • Use: Primarily developed for NASCAR racing and performance applications.
    Ford 428
    • Engine Family: Ford FE series.
    • Characteristics: Designed for the street, it has a smaller bore and a longer 3.98-inch stroke than the 427, with lower piston speeds and a focus on torque.
    • Use: Street-oriented, providing a balance of performance and drivability.
    Ford 429
    • Engine Family: Ford 385 Series (Lima).
    • Characteristics: A completely separate engine family from the FE engines, known for its large bore (4.36 inches), shorter stroke (3.59 inches), and canted valve heads.
    • Use: A powerful big-block engine intended for heavy-duty street and performance applications, including the Cobra Jet and Boss variants.

    • Is the Ford 429 and 460 the same block?
    • The nice thing about this block is interchangeability. It can be a 429 or a 460 depending on which crankshaft is used. What's more, it can be stroked to more than 550ci. Boss 429 blocks were unique "C9AE-E" castings with screw-in freeze plugs and four-bolt main caps.

Not to change the subject, but is there any bald men in WV? God all mighty, I've got 10 more hairs than Elmer has and they are an inch apart so at best it's an optical illusion, but you guys!!!!! Dam nation!!! I'm through crying for the time being anyway.

Wouldn’t worry about it none— an old cowboy friend of mine from Dimmitt said about beards and hair on the head “Why worry about curry’n something cultivated on your head when it grows wild on your butt” — he was cue ball bald
