Well yea, that’s a lot if not the only reason 5g was rolled out. I mean do you think it was done for benefit of us. 4lte was already fast enough to stream HD video on your phone. 5g is needed for AI and all the surveillance in the sky

Honestly I feel like a main contributor to that is the fact that a good number of people *think* that it'll make it so they don't have to work anymore.
But they don't realize that it'll be the robots doing the poetry and artwork, while we're all still stuck with the labor.

I like working, as for actors, musicians, etc of days gone past like A-listers etc? Never again. AI will be so far superior nobody will utilize real humans. You can already create your own series, like HBO suspenseful series in minutes using AI. Think breaking bad had you binge watching? The incredible plot acting that draws you in? AI will be able to create that instantly and 10 times better.

 

Whats amazing is that the right made such a big deal about this stuff with Bush and Obama(real id, etc.) and now with trump they are happy to embrace the surveillance state(palentir, flock cameras, etc.) Its amazing how easy it was to fool the right wing, all it took was trump to give them the right to hate.

in all seriousness I don’t think it’s possible for AI to be anything other than a tool it’s programmed to be. It’s not alive. Nobody is quite sure what makes living things alive and conscious. One of the great mysteries. So I doubt it’s possible to give an autonomous soul to a computer. It is merely mimicking human behavior by the humans that programmed it.
