I tried Walmart before. They wanted to me to fill out some background check thing. First time it claimed a non-existent gap in employment. Next time I finished it but Walmart claimed I didn't. So when they send it again I ignored it and gave up
-
Try again it'll be worth it. Easiest hard job ever, work never slows.
scythe08 Thanks this. -
Eh rather not deal with Walmart. Especially the slip seating sleeper. Also from what I remember. They said they won't paid for how you will get to orientation. Which for me would of been in Rhode Island. Which isn't really far. Probably just or around 4 hours. But still

Its best to stay away from the outsiders and focus on the privates.
Linde/Prax
Air Liquide/Airgas
Air Products
Matheson
Messer
Are the top five privates and are listed from largest to smallest. And all 5 of them are well established being that they been around for several years. And all of them will keep drivers on a long time if you do your job and follow the rules. I've ran the midwest for years and have never chained. Although I've seen several trucks in ditches or flipped on I-80. From Iowa to Ohio, chains are required in the central plains states and back west.
However in my opinion
Linde/Prax
Air Products
Are the best of the privates. I really liked linde and would still be there
But linde sold my terminal to messer in there merger with Praxair. And my money really dropped so I left.viper822004, Dennixx, lual and 1 other person Thank this. -
A Gross pay of $151,728.42 will condition you. Most other driving jobs will only pay about 90k max. But being that cryo is a more specialized market it pays better than others. As I tell everyone I train. This isn't for everyone, because some have to talk on the phone all day.
I have fast tracked through the positions I've been given at my company. Driver, driver trainer, safety instructor. But none of that would have happened if I couldn't comply. With all these weekly layoffs going on across the country. Or just flat out companies closing there doors. There aren't many choices of jobs for people to determine if they want to comply or not.
However this entire nation is under surveillance. Have you noticed all the cameras everywhere?viper822004, Dennixx, lual and 2 others Thank this. -
Somebody told you wrong. You'll get paid mileage driving to there and from home in your personal car plus daily meals paid and hotel room in addition to $1,200 for 50 hours / 5 days. You'll only front money for dinner every night which will be reimbursed. That's even if you don't make the cut on day 5.viper822004 and scythe08 Thank this.

Who's paying that?
Nobody on ASU side where I'm at is making anywhere close to that. -
So GenOx is weird. Because I applied to a different posting in Maine and they messaged me questions. Though this one is out of Eilot ME. So right at the New Hampshire border. Which is also near that Messer plant in Kittery
viper822004 and scythe08 Thank this. -
If you max your hours at my plant you are north of 170K.
150 isn't that tough, you just have to work and have no lifeviper822004 and scythe08 Thank this.
