Iowa Town Not Keen On Use Of Jake Brakes

For me hearing jake brakes , is something that makes me happy. I love the sound of Jake Brakes.

Apparently for some “Billy Big Riggers” keeping a low profile and not attracting attention isn’t a strong suit!!

That’s why some of these towns are up in arms with noise ordinances on the issue!

Me personally,if I’m passing through one of those little towns I prefer to use Level 1 and let the truck “whistle” through the neighborhood.
Some of them are smart enough to call them “engine brakes” or “compression brakes”-and for good reason-they don’t want to get sued!!
