And to load. Unless it was air off. Then just hooked up a Christmas tree and an air hose. Make sure not to close the man hole after a wash out. It will collapse the trailer. Science and all.

I ran tankers. You get your chart out that tells volume vs the height of the tank. Put in a measuring stick. Kind of like a square yard stick. If you volume is say 20" away from top. You get a clamp and measure 20" the bottom of the hole that's on top. When the liquid touches bottom of stick your there. You yell to stop.
Every tank has its own strapping chart. Volume of fluid vs inches from bottom of tank or top.
There is a cat walk and a ladder on chemical tanks. I would just sit of the tank cat walk. Some places have a platform that drops on the top tank trailer, so you can behind a gaurd rail to avoid cracking of bones.
Your water truck might not be the same. In the oil field the water trucks had a valve at the bottom and the top of the trailer. With clear plexi glass tube connecting the two so you could see the level.4mer trucker, hope not dumb twucker, okiedokie and 9 others Thank this.
