    I've loaded chemical tankers at places that didn't have scales. Every individual tank trailer has a "Strapping Chart" that dispatch can download and and with the driver that shows gallons per 1/4 inch. The shipper would know the product weight per gallon and figure out how many inches would be the desired load amount. Their loader would sit on top of the tank with a stick marked at the right place and tell the guy on the valve when to stop the flow. I never even thought about being the guy up there myself. Going up and closing the lid or hooking/unhooking the air was it for me.
