Had some whiskey earlier mixed with a little honey and lemon juice. I never drink on the road, and what I drink at home is never discussed between me and the owner….

 

It was a neat little tractor. It needed a transmission and it ended up coming as a complete drivetrain from input shaft to PTO. Nice easy split job.

Yes, that Sammons. IMO, Sammons was a great company with a decent lease program. Overnight, it seemed as if the entire trucking industry went sidewalk sissy

 

Couple young hunters missing in CO. Sounds like they were on some elk, had gone to the truck, and headed back in to hunt last Thursday evening.

They haven't been heard from since, and they're sat phone is not responding.

Probably going to buy new. I looked those up, but couldn't get an answer. We'll see if they call back.

I'm going to call on some of the new ones today and see how willing they are to deal.

Came out of the Peelot. to a guy washing the windows of my truck. I watch for a moment to see if he is alone (I am much more cautious after walking up on a guy doing the 3 card monte scam and realizing that every other person in attendance is in on it and found myself at a 6:1 disadvantage). The guy is solo.

(Extra money. Not money. What does he do for money? He’s not homeless. Beard is kept up. Regular tight haircuts. Clothes and proper shoes. If “window washing is extra money, where’s the bread and butter money? My guess is, during daylight, he stands at the top of exit ramp pretending to be a veteran with a hungry please help god bless cardboard sign.)

 

Bread and butter money is probably washing the windows inside the truck…so to speak
