My eyes are so impressed with the view of that fine vehicle, they are trying to tell me the tires are flared further apart at ground level than they would measure at the top. Is this the way it sits, my eyes, or is it off?

Back in the 50/60's, the scrambled eggs at some stops required a jot of Tabasco to tone up for devouring. Don't think it was just me or all the eggs at various places. Lots of diners added it...

I've wondered what that ferry costs. Been in the area before and would grab a MI load if it wasn't for Chicago

I have no opinion on that either way. I use the sealed plastic rod containers to store mine in. I don't have a premium of space so every square foot counts.

@wore out Do you just toss/pile your engine/trans/diff pulling-lifting short chains in a pile in the corner or have some hangers around the walls to kinda sort them on? Have seen more time lost and a good chain cut up while looking for the one you need.

Just us 3, Me and 2 partners in the forklift shop. Metal building with waist high on sides with a purling
Over time, we had pretty well devised an assortment of sized chains. We had drilled and bolted in some 6" long bolts to hang them on.
To swing a counter weight off.
Welded 2 foot long piece of 1" round to a short chain, drilled a hole in each. Drop them in the holes of a cwt, stick a used bolt the hole, come up.

Slant 6's set whop sided. Rigged us a short chain; piece of flat on each end, with a hole. There are two places in the block could bolt the ends up on opposite sides. Short piece to loop around one fork with a grab hook. Hooking the grab hook offset of center; on the swing chain, would bring it up out or line back in the needed position. Have seen 3 men wrestle a Slant 6 for an hour to set back in a Clark. T/C snout scratched, seal ruined.
We hung it on the one fork, I opped the levers, either of them guided it to the t/conv, let settle on motor supports. 30 minutes from shipping cradle to putting bolts in motor supports.
    Reason for the text book..
We sold out and worked a non compete with the buyer. In less than 3 months, all the chain sets we had made were either lost, junked, or cut up for other use. Dealerships and plenty of labor standing around.

RVs are a ####ing nightmare under the stapled together paper skin. Wires just randomly balled up everywhere and good luck trying to follow a circuit because it's all the same color. That color is whatever the manufacturer could get the cheapest that week. It's not even consistent across the same model for a production year. Water lines aren't any better. Kinks in hoses are no problem as far as they are concerned. Everything is held together with a combination of zip ties, staples, and self tapping screws just sent through any surface with zero concern for what is behind it.

On the big forklift industrial battery's, 2 volt cells, in a 5 gallon case, as many as you need to get either 24, 36, or 48 volts output.
Fitted into a 1/4" steel open top case. P and N post/cable off either end. Pack/seal with asphalt /tar sealant to level and smooth top.
Use 8 hours, recharge 8 hours, let cool 8 hours. Once a month; set or auto to week end charge, which is 12 hours. Balances the cells.
BUT, some time in here it will be overfilled adding water, then it will boil over, which will leave a trail of electrolyte where ever it flowed.
New battery 5 year expected life and warranted pro rata. By second year, it has gotten pretty shaggy on top with spillage, grime and corrosion.
Typically then you can check up to 1 to 2 volt from P or N post to the case and some across the tar top. So you let it set out, it goes dead.
To a degree, an automotive battery will do the same thing, if not maintained and kept clean. Location in the vehicle has a lot to do with longevity.

This same voltage leakage/jump to case can cause some really interesting problems on like a JLG scissors lifts or other device.
Supposed to be N to P over the harness, don't like voltage in the frame where the drive motors are bolted. Controller gets confused.

1st thing we ever did on an electric forklift with problems, is pull the battery, set it on the forks over rubber, connect a jumper to reach and operate it with battery isolated. Amazing some time that there was nothing wrong with the truck, just the crazy battery leaked volts.

Yep , my son bought a new camper trailer about 2 years ago. I've helped him replace or repair water lines , wiring and many things that were loose or not mounted properly from the factory. And good luck getting warranty repairs , it seems once they get your unit on the yard they don't care how long it sits there without getting anything done.
