If I was a wrench at a place of any kind, I had the skill set to dyno tune as in I’m good at it. I’d see all them no good m’fers on the back side of hell in a burlap bag full of pine cones before I burnt one cause they said too. I don’t work on bikes but it’s the same no matter. If I had any doubts on the skills of the mechanic then I’d buy 2 sets of fresh plugs when I picked it up. I’d go straight to my test hit spot and put 1 set in. No idling just hit that m’fer make a pull. Immediately shut it down and pull the plugs see what you see. Throw that set in the saddle bags put next new set in. Ride it for home just like you always do. Idle as little as possible…..pull em and see what I see.
be surprised what a plug will tell you about the skill set of your mechaniccke, High Stepper, Big Road Skateboard and 14 others Thank this. -
I guess technically they are, I just couldn’t decide if it looked like our DD 15 or one of those old spluttery Mercedes that Sterling, and some of the early 2000 western stars had incke, High Stepper, Big Road Skateboard and 7 others Thank this.

I hear you. I just fought to get the blower motor out of my Blazer, getting everything out of the way, chasing the threads and putting anti-seize on everything metal...and good thing. Sounds like the blower motor exploded on start up.
Gonna start taking it apart tomorrow and find out what the H E L L happened. Arrghh

Good idea. I was wanting a tuner with an auto tune but didn’t think about monitoring the plugs.cke, Big Road Skateboard, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this.

I don’t have an answer, but most wide band O2 sensors are because large injectors run rich at an idle. I think that can be solved with just a tune. But you are better off asking your tuner. Because I am not onecke, High Stepper, Big Road Skateboard and 7 others Thank this.

From what I understand from YouTube, narrowband sees the AF ratio at idle and WOT. Wideband allows the ECM to see throughout the entire range. I guess a tuner at a dyno can manually adjust the AF throughout the rpm range with the stock sensors.
Thundermax is a standalone system that completely replaces the factory ECM. Dynomax is half the price, but a piggyback system. Both have auto tune capabilities. Do your ride, and the auto tune learns and sets the parameters.
One option I am considering is riding up to Greenville OH, and see what Fitzgerald Motorsports can do (they have a dyno), getting an exhaust with baffles and a dyno tune.
Thanks again, gents.cke, Big Road Skateboard, sawmill and 8 others Thank this. -
BTW, got the heel toe installed Friday noon. Saturday, went to the benefit ride for the little girl. I think she is 3-4. Tiny girl. 1/4 black, 1/4 white, 1/2 Puerto Rican. Cute as a button. Sweet kid. Seems to be recovering nicely from the brain tumor Wonderful little girl, but you can tell she’s still recovering. She never complained about anything, but you could tell she was fatigued.
Marines came out of everywhere to support their own. It was an honor to ride with them.cke, Big Road Skateboard, sawmill and 10 others Thank this. -
See, shows you what I know. I thought it was the other way around. It’s probably worth the trip to get a reputable turner
