lol. Why go stateside? Plenty of shady shops here in Canada now.

 

Someone in ON is using the IL shops credentials basically.

I've had it done to me a few times. Even had my old invoices replicated, and used by other repair facilities on road calls. I guess to skirt the tax liability, but also used when they did half ash work.

 

Not surprised since it seems like any Tom, Dick or Harry can perform an annual in the US.

 

Meanwhile we have to have a mechanic with inspection license inspect a truck out here. We have to actually have the wheels pulled off as well.

Not saying some owner ops aren't completely competent and capable of doing it but it sure leaves an opportunity for the sleazy operators to just pencil whip a safety and slap a sticker on their equipment.

 

Because it’s not about safety but about revenue, I don’t mean revenue for the shop either
