What Sap friendly companies are out there??

I’m a good driver with a really strong work ethic, and a passion for being a trucker. I do own a couple of really, really nice pre-Emissions W900L’s, that I basically use just to joyride my girlfriend, and fetch groceries in. However I began my career as an O/O straight out of CDL school. But I was lucky to just net fuel money at the end of every pay period. So I stopped doing that because I was just putting tons of miles on my equipment and not making enough money to justify the wear and tear. I’m pretty much just up against the wall here.. But I value your opinion and experience so I can’t really go against the wisdom of someone who obviously has much more knowledge about this industry than I obviously do. Good companies have no obligation to help drivers stuck at bad companies. That's thinking like a toddler, "they should fix my problem". Good companies have obligations to their shareholders, customers, employees, and public. That's why they have strict rules about hiring drivers that fail drug tests. The people that failed the drug test had an obligation to themselves but decided not to make good choices. Now it's hard. Now the road back to a good company job is hard. That's why some of us are hard on people defending drug and alcohol use. Being an adult is not having fun until you want to be serious. It's paying the price for your choices and making good choices because nobody but you cares about what YOU will need to deal with if you shoot yourself in the foot. You caused this problem, don't blame others.

I recommend staying with Super Ego until you qualify for another company. If you don't want to do that, may as well start looking for a different career.

@HotRod2272 I second this with Chinatown. I know they suck, but job hopping and SAP will kill your career. All of us, at one point or another, were stuck at a horrible company till something else came along.

Well, I do appreciate the constructive criticism. Because I view all constructive criticism as fuel for motivation. However, im not sure if ( judging by the tone of your comment ) you are offering constructive criticism or insults. Either way the only thing I can offer you personally in the way of defense is: plz don’t assume that everyone who has had a sap violation, has either received that violation legitimately, or abuses illegal substances. There are people in positions of power and authority that are just as easily corrupted by greed as those in positions of poverty my good man. And if you believe any different, well than you live in a very naive world my friend.. nevertheless, I am no less a driver, and my work ethic has suffered no depreciation whatsoever.. sadly enough, we live in a very judgmental society. What I failed to mention however is that I am extremely independently wealthy. Unlike many in the industry, I drive semi trucks because I enjoy it, not because I have to..
As far as my sap violation, I have a current term of 10 years federal probation for laundering money, and since I am banned from operating my own business ( because of the conviction ) I am reduced to working for an entity that i don’t personally own. And after 15 straight years in a concrete cage, well the freedom and adventure of driving semi trucks all over this amazing country suits me just fine, just fine indeed

While I agree that these rules of redemption can be strenuous, everything you said in this last really doesn't matter. None of our opinions matter on this topic because we are all incapable of changing these rules. Sure someone can have a hiccup and fail a test. Sometimes a hiccup is devastating. I'm all for redemption and 2nd chances. Some people change and do better. Many do not. The industry can't take that risk. You'll get a 2nd chance at a more reputable company. That chance just has to go on ice for the foreseeable future.

You definitely know the industry better than I.. and I am definitely going to subscribe to your advice.. so, I guess that I need to change my ( thread / post ) to now read, “ Any and All advice that you wise gentleman can offer on how to be “ successful “ as a lease purchase operator, I will be genuinely grateful for.!

Thank you.!! And I shall heed your advice, sincerely.. I reflected all night on the advice from you and your fellow experienced brethren, and made the decision to do just that. And more actually, because like most other things in this life, a person’s attitude is everything.
