CRETE SUCKS

I have no issues communicating and getting home when I need to be..... again what happened back then has nothing to do with now ...it's not even the same management now .....trucking is always tough during the holidays to get people home, but Crete has been by far the best I've ever worked for ....

 

Your opinions are based on your experience, same as everyone else’s. Because your experience is good doesn’t mean there’s no way his experience could’ve sucked. It’s a 5000 truck company, I doubt every bad experience rests solely on the shoulders of the driver. Lord knows people get sold a bill of goods just to get them in the seat. Im sure Crete has done the bait and switch just like the others.

What sucks for one person, is the perfect job for someone else.

Look at some of the krap that Snackbar goes through. You can't say that every screwup that he deals with, is on him.

 

I didn't say him and he actually puts in the effort to get the miles he does...I'm saying a lot of the ones saying they suck are usually former drivers who were late or just couldn't adapt to the way Crete does things ...but there's absolutely no way you don't get miles or checks held and certainly issues getting home just don't happen here ...the most Ive been late for hometime is one day and that was because of the shipper not Crete....

 

You're right, he put's forth the effort. Sometimes he's rewarded, other times, not so much. To put forth the effort, and be rewarded with a 300 mile, 2 day trip, is on the company. And not everyone is as patient with the company as you, or Snackbar.

 

Well sometimes it is give and take ..... sometimes you do what gets you to the better load....and I'm on Crete dry side not reefer Shaffer ..so my experience is also different than his...

 

Crete/Shaffer has a good reputation here in DFW with their terminal in Wilmer, good location. But they are a mega so mileage will vary..they have a lower turn over rate, there is no perfect company.. I see a lot of drivers make Crete work for them though.. so they are decent enough in my book..
