When you sign a training contract with a carrier it isn't indentured servitude unless they don't give you the reasonable means to fulfill the contract in the time specified. While I find this type of training practice repugnant, I find adults who sign them and then whine about it later just as bad. Any contract you don't wholly understand should be read by someone who does.

    *GASP!!! *

Are you daring to imply that adults should have personal responsibility for their actions? How audaciously inconsiderate of you!

While you think those who complain about it is just as bad…. The only logical reaction to this as most people would say (if you don’t like it then, just quit). So i quit!! Lmao ….. Sorry if i didn’t stay long enough to fulfil the contract!

FedEx Freight has a 4 to 7 week one on one school to train drivers to pull doubles , one trainer to one student . Class is 8 hours daily , and the student is paid 28 dollars an hour. Ostensibly, the cost is 13,000 dollars for a one year commitment, but my managers laugh and say . We won’t go after anyone who doesn’t want to stay here because we don’t want them either if they don’t want to be here and FedEx never goes after their credit or job .

Just take the hit, and settle with whoever it's in collections with a couple years later. I did that. Turned a 8.6K DEBT into 1.5K!

I did that with Stevens Transport. I was fired and wasn't home a week when the calls started. I just call blocked them for the time. What's so funny is that a week before it fell off, they tried collecting again.
