That 95H had to be a 70 something model. We thought it was pretty new at the time!

I think the new design combines they called them which were the 4400-7700 John Deere come out in 77. Don’t hold me to that though I’ve discovered lately my memory isn’t as sharp as I thought it once wsx

That sounds right. I migrated away from farming things after high school and have had nothing but observations from afar since then.

My memory is #### good though - just really short.

I have a rivet press. I use it brakes for the 20,30,40, and 50 series tractors. You put the brake pads on the plate and stick the rivets through. It’s foot operated and swells the straight end.

it would probably work on truck shoes too though I’ve never tried. Buying them ready to go makes sense

20 or 30 years ago I helped my dad modify an unuused small self propelled swather (I think it was a '60s Versatile) by mounting a combine pickup off-set to turn hay swathes to dry rained on fields of cut hay.

Sounds like what we called a "Side delivery Rake". Mow with sickle mower, laying flat. Let dry/cure till somewhat dry. Then rake with side delivery to flip into loose windrows. Idea was so the pickup baler could gulp the windrow. And if got rained on, let it lay a day, re rake to flip over and loosen another day and bale. I've pulled one like this, It is a John Deere, throws to the towed left/ IH just reversed, throw's to right.

I ran TX 79 south from I 20 going thru Henderson to Round Rock. Over 3 different years, around 2013-15, I saw burned triple axle gooseneck hotshots sitting where they burned down with hay loads. There was a lot of hay moving from MS,AL, GA,TN to TX and alot of non truckers got to trying to rack up hauling it. I laid a lot of the fires to them streaking across I 20, cutting down 79 and slowing /stopping or the heat got the tires or bearings up to combustion. Plus, always not tarped. A cig butt tossed out the window, yours ora passing car. and its all over....
Most of the fires were within halfway 120 and Henderson. Strange, but might see 2 skeletons going down and coming back a week later see 1 or 2 more...
