That's the best way to vacation. Wife and I did that a while back ,went to a wedding in Savannah then just bounced around Ga. and FL. For 7 days . We were on the motorcycle , it was late September. We both agree it's the best vacation ever,no plans just putting around. Hope y'all enjoy it.

Since it’s been mentioned recently, ride across the Dragon if you’re heading that direction.

Mrs. Oldskool and I rode it back before we got married, rained ever single inch of the way across lol, but still had a good time. The little general store at the end was a nice rest stop….

Woke up this morning to headlights in the pasture out back. Gathered up a little firepower and went for a ride.

I came across three idiots in a side by side glassing a hillside in the back corner. Come to find out they're the hunting outfitter that the ranch has allowed to be here.

I chewed them out for not calling ahead to let me know that they would be back there as they were told to do last year. He got smart with me and asked if the power company or gas companies call us. I told him no but they come in a company truck not a camo side by side. Without identifying markings I have no way to know who the F you are.

I wished them luck but told them if they see anything they better get it today. Tomorrow morning we're pushing 400 pairs through that pasture going toward Wahsatch. If there's deer in there there wont be any tomorrow.

I don't mind hunters. I can't stand outfitters. Entitled pricks.

Agreed! I had a couple of chain hangers lying around, so I threw one on the truck to make em easier to get to. I've kept em stuffed in two 5 gal buckets for 4 years now.

I had no plans to take off last week. I delivered my hay Monday and needed to service the truck before heading to Boise.

My load out of the house fell apart, and the load board was trash, so I took care of some things that were coming up.

New tires, brakes, and shocks on the trailer. Serviced the truck, got my chains on board, new steer tires and shocks.

Little update on the bar for lifting my axle. That thing works great. It's hard to get my trailer to the shop, just not much room.

I put the bar over the rear axle and lifted it, got it in without tearing up the yard. Also used it on both axles to change my tires and brakes instead of the jack.

But, after using it, while it's handy, I know that with the time it takes, I won't use it as intended cause I'm always in a hurry.

So I ordered the lift kit from Hendrickson and I'll put on when I get time.
