Which companies pays you while you do a 34 hour reset???

Ok, if they get paid on their days off other than personal days, and vacation days I am curious to know.

If you are anywhere away from your home because of your company, you must get paid!!!! But , we have drivers who take the side of their slave masters and think it is ok to get crumbs in exchange for the work they do.

 

I worked for a reefer company that also paid that, even if no hazmat on the trailer.
Marten Transport has some excellent accessorial pays.

I worked for a tanker company and went to pick up a load for the petroleum industry.
It was one of those places where you pull up to the door and get out of the truck and go to a room that has 2 beds across from the cafeteria.
They bring the rig in and load it then test it. If its out of spec they unload it bring it up to spec and reload.

Bottom line is I spent 26 hrs there and got paid for every one of them including OT and meal allowance.

2,,, The local steel cpy was on strike.
They need critical personnel on site which were flown in by helicopter
They got paid 24 hrs a day for 7 days in and several other benefits.

I also know people that only work weekends and on long weekends make 1 1/2 sat, double on sun, and triple on a holiday mon.
