I guess I'll give an update since I left the house Monday morning. I left around 6am after kissing the wife goodbye and running around with the dogs in the back yard. I had to make a pick up at Publix in Lakeland for a Tuesday delivery in Chattanooga TN. I was loaded and on my way by 10am. I have delivered to Publix over the years and they are one of the better grocery chains to deliver to, I have never loaded there before and I must say it was a very nice experience. I made it up to Lake Park, GA. for fuel and lunch. I figured I'd be at the consignee by 10pm which I was, then sleep there until they opened. After unloading I headed over to Cleveland TN. for a drop and hook for my preplanned Ontario load. The bad thing here was I had to start my clock to drive 25 miles then sit at the shipper until the load was ready at 6pm, oh well so be it. I left the shipper at 6pm and made it up to the scale house in KY that is a safe haven for parking. It was the third time I have slept there. It's not like the scales in Woodbridge VA where there's nothing but DOT in the truck area, these folks actually leave you alone, then when you leave you bypass the scales and go on your way. I woke up with 625 miles to go and made it to St. Catherines On. where I slept until the next morning. On my way up I was preplanned with a load that loaded in Mississasauga On. that delivered in Liverpool NY. I left the consignee around 11:30, drove the 67 miles north, was reloaded by 2pm and stopped at the border truckstop to call the customs broker to get my re-entry number to get back into the States. I had a 6pm delivery time for tonight, I crossed back into Buffalo at 3:30 and pulled in to my delivery at 5:55. I was empty at 6:45 and already was told to come to the yard and check with dispatch in the morning for my California load. So, as the day ends I'm at the Petro up the street from the terminal getting ready for bed. I finished up this round with 3100 miles and 2.5 days at home. Not too bad for a weeks worth of work. I'll update this as the weekend unfolds. Be safe all, God Bless!

Since I've been in my truck I went and picked a load that night in lock havenand take it to the yard. On Thursday I went to mountaintop and picked up a load for carneys point, nj. Ran back from carneys point back to mountain top for a load Friday to fairfiled, nj, loaded from fairfield back to mountaintop, picked up at mountaintop for a load tomorrow at elkton, md and baltimore. So far I love it, everyone treats you great, they know you by name.

Hi, Johnboy, I have also enjoyed your posts. Does Calex hire drivers living in Tucson? Is going to Canada mandatory or not? Thanks in advance.

They do hire only when they have a need for a particular area. Call into safety and ask Jim or Mort.

Thanks, I'm not sure about Tuscon. I know they do out of Phoenix. Canada is not mandatory. But if you have a passport and can go into Canada it really is a good deal.
