Mechanical RGN Neck came off 6X6

A couple lengths of used conveyor belt might help keeping the drives digging holes. Don't need a lot, just where the trailer starts to lift and then cams over. Toss it on the deck when hooked away you go.

 

Conveyor belt- like a mud flap but really long. Crushing outfits have miles of rolls of used belt usually. Get 6-8' times two throw it down back over it. Might work.

 

Really you have the wrong trailer too for construction moves in soft ground.

Southwest guys use Cozad/ Murray type mechanical detach trailers for construction equipment and get by great, but they have excellent designed fifth wheel ramps and learn to stay on firm level ground. They also load a lot over the rear.

I have no idea how an auto trans affects the process, and whether or not you can just crawl under the load. You might play with dumping air suspension when lifting the load, and keep your load as far back as possible on the trailer until you get it lifted, then move it up and secure. It seems you always have the load back a long way anyway though.

I'll stand to be corrected on this, but if you block under the front of the trailer it may help to reduce the amount you have to lift it and get higher on the ramps before all the weight is on them. You can always block in front to reduce the jump up on to the deck. I'm thinking 4x6 blocks about 4' long. They may just push into soft ground though with anything heavy.

I have a hydraulic neck, so picking the load up isn't a problem. Sometimes getting hooked up can be, but nothing like a mechanical.

 

If you tell him to dump his suspension while hooking up, we will back in on this same thread about his wood coming out.
