You also need to consider that some industrial sites will refuse entry of vehicles with pets.
They mostly say that you must leave your pet with security, so a pet carrier is recommended.
Mine sites and other restricted areas are most prevalent in this list.

I have had plants tell me no pets on sight period then wanna look in the truck. Not to invasive just move the sleeper curtains etc. Gave you a number to pet smart in some mall to baby sit them. Once I took Doc just off the property and told him wait there I be back. 5 hours later I got outta that place. Another time I told him get under the bed and not move a muscle. Snuck his ### in there. My point is no cat is gonna behave like a trained dog they gonna be problems. As in take them to pet smart. And when you 90ft plus long that’s gonna be problems

Yeah I’ve experienced that without a pet and some places won’t allow you entry with a pet. I have one of two options. Put cat in carrier and keep her in the sleeper and keep my mouth shut or refuse the load.

Cat won’t make a sound. They will hide from unfamiliar people. So she will keep quiet in carrier.

There is a ton of deadhead with OTR RGN. Average deadhead has been 250 and longest has been 600 miles. Noticed if I am not empty by 10am and even then the next load will be for the next day pu. Is this the norm? I don’t mind it but it is a concern if there is a cancellation because then I could potentially be sitting or deadheading 2 days.

That’s the truth! Some days barely have time to take a shower. Now I’m gonna make time brushing a cat! I keep telling myself don’t worry it will work itself out:)

We've turned down no pets loads.

There's a few where I told the agent the deal, and they said go anyways.

    And we did.

One of those was monster refinery down by Brownsville.

You park the truck right in front of the guard house. Check in. " Been here before?"

    "No. Sir."

"You need to watch the orientation video."

There's a sign about the size of a sheet of plywood next to said guard house - ' Absolutely No Pets.'

    He never asked.

15 minute video. The whole time I'm thinking," Mincy, please don't be sitting on the dash." LOL

Another place they have a kennel at the guard house.

    F that.

There's an agent no longer pull for, cause we get to the receiver.........Oh gee, new satellite tracking headquarters for The CIA.

Full search. Police dog in the truck.

They never mentioned that at booking. The girl in her office thought it was funny.

I said, to the owner, " You ignorant c###. My cat didn't sign up to have a F police dog in its face." "Maybe someday something similar can happen to one of your kids. Let me know, I might think it's funny."

I didn’t consider the police dog. Probably better to not do those loads.
