I'm ready to start my new career with Roehl. I've been a police officer for years and can't wait to start this career. Anyone have any experience dealing with Roehl, what can I expect. I went with Roehl for the home time (wife and two kids) I'll be running flats in the north east when I get done with all the training.
Starting school

So far I have had a great experience with roehl, had my first small amount (training $$ deposited into the bank) and I can say I am pretty happy with them so far, school was inexpensive but intense and fast paced learned a lot, my first evo I trainer well, did not learn a whole lot, then for the second half boy that guy made up for the first half-learned lots, that guy really made me feel comfortable behind the wheel, and I did not want to get out when it was time for me to go home, you will like roehl ( I think you will) I will be dispatched out of gary and hope all goes well with that.

Oh, forgot, their training course is at the home terminal in Marshfield Wi.:smt038

On your other thread you said you were nervous, and in this one you said you were a police officer. Compared to your last job this oughta be rather easy on your nerves. I wouldn't sweat to much, You oughta do fine. Oh, and Roehl is one of the top companies, they are a driver friendly company which is rare. :smt038 Good luck.

If you don't mind me asking; are you leaving the department completely, or just plan to drive part time? Also, if you are leaving the force; why?
But to answer your question, I've heard some good things about Roehl. (pronounced: Rail) The hometime is decent, and so are their rigs. Good luck with your new career. -
Light Traveler I'm getting totally out of police work. I'm starting to get burnt out and not making any money. I know that this career won't make me a millionaire but it will be more that what I'm making now, plus we want to see more of the country. I've been thinking about driving for a while now and the wife and I sat down and starting really talking about this as a new career for me in November it took so long because we have two children (6yrs and 2months). After looking at a lot of information she is behind me 100%. I decided to go with Roehl because of all the information I have read. I was originally looking at Schneider but Roehl sounded like a more "driver friendly" company and home time seems a little better.

Policing isn't for everyone. Sometimes the BS that comes with the badge, just doesn't seem to justify the personal sacrifices. But, I'm glad to hear that your family supports your decision. Good luck to you and yours.

I think you will be happy with Roehl. My husband drives for them and is now a trainer. They are very driver friendly and as for home time they get you home when you want to. So far every date he has requested to get home he has gotten. Safety bonuses are obtainable. There is also a yearly bonuses given out at Christmas time. Good luck with your training. Right now my husband is out on the road he is set to come home March 15th. If you have any specific questions you email me or post them here and I will pass them onto him.

I am doing just the opposite as you, lol I am trying to get a police job but after a year of looking and working for basically minimum wage, I need to put the police job hunt on hold for a bit and go and make some money. I was supposed to start CR Englands school on Feb. 7th but I read some nasty things about them. I like that Roehl offers more home time and they are more family oriented it seems.
