Westbound 90 is closed under the overpass. Traffic has to exit and get back on. Should make for some pretty impressive backups.

All 6 girders are destroyed. That’s a fairly impressive feat.

    Yup.

WSP identified the driver involved as 64-year-old Allan Bergsma of Wingham, Ontario. According to a preliminary report from WSP, no drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash and the cause of the crash is listed as "permit violation." No one was injured in the crash, according to the report.

I always pronounced it as Clay Elum. Now I know it's pronounced Clee Elum.

Everyone knows where the problem lies. It isn't the Trucks, or any other vehicles. What happens in other places when a bridge is hit/scraped like this? The vehicle gets stuck underneath because bridge/overpass was to strong to let it go through.
This one just crumbled up like plaster, their whole highway system is decrepit and dilapidated.
Anyone who has driven there knows this, it is no surprise.

I'm pretty sure the driver was the problem here, concrete doesn't usually like a giant steel object smashing it at 65mph.

And if he got a permit violation ticket then he wasn’t supposed to go under it in the first place.
