The DOT head (Sean Duffy) says they are going after the CDL mill schools handing out CDLs and looking to take away California's ability to issue CDLs since they have proven to not follow Federal rules. DOT is also going to pursue customers and brokers using these drivers. GO GET 'EM!

Watched a video the other day on YouTube where a truck driver was pulled into a DOT POE in a certain state when asked by the officer a basic question such as where are you travelling too? What are you carrying? the Driver could not understand and had to use a Translation app on his cell phone. The issue is why are drivers being issued with CDL's if they can not understand basic English? This is the reason why the state of Oklahoma is clamping down on drivers. The other issue is that technically as mentioned in some posts only US citizens or Legal permanent residents could be issued with a CDL license however they had to make an exemption when companies hired foreign workers on valid work visas. Known as a Non-domiciled commercial driver's license.D.Tibbitt, The one california kid, Trucker61016 and 1 other person Thank this.
