Great! I had the Bridgestone R213 on my steers the last OTR job I had ( I am now working a local job). Anyway, the R213 had a real nice ride. I really liked those steer's. I think they will serve you well.

I think our job is finished here, and anything that doesn't look right, don't hesitate to ask. NOW,,,just watch those curbs, I had good luck with Firestone/Bridgestone, but no tire sidewall is "curb resistant".

It’s a steer tire. If it’s questionable it needs replaced. There’s a reason why the regs say a steer tire must be virgin rubber. Not a recap. It’s not worth the gamble, good you got them changed. Ty may have just saved someone’s life and yours.

    201 and JForce28 Thank this.

But the regs don’t say that. Only buses are prohibited from running recap tires in the steer axle.

Yes but it’s a steer tire. If it’s questionable don’t run it.

    JForce28 Thanks this.

Putting recaps on a steer is inviting an accident. It’s a a bad idea.

    JForce28 Thanks this.

Never chance steers. The life you save might just be your own.

Questionable to who? Unless you are knowledgeable in tires then you really don’t know what you’re looking at
