Concrete looks good, nice job! I did all the demo on mine and helped with the excavation. When it came to the forms and pouring I decided to hire someone. The little u-cart place went away so about the only option is to call for a short load in a mixer. 70 years old, been decades since I've done any concrete and I can't hire a helper that has a clue.
A couple of years ago I hired a guy to do some siding - 5/8 T111 is getting a little heavy for me and I was running my ### off at work. So, I called him up for the concrete and he assured me they could handle it - no sweat.
These pictures are of the forms they built. And no, I didn't let them pour it PXL_20250709_181527598.jpg PXL_20250709_181417325.jpg

@Oxbow Ya suppose someone will have something up on a forklift supporting an airplane engine and it going... Oops..?.
Forklift op error on supporting the engine during installation is the prevailing tender on the UPS crash....
Thankful I could stab a Slant Six into a Clark and not wrinkle the torque converter. But, that was 18 inches off the floor, no biggie if fell...

broke down plumber, cke, CAXPT and 5 others Thank this.

    Are you kidding me? :biggrin_25523:

I know I could do a better job than that. I like the one where they put the braces on the rebar side.

Enjoying whats left of my 14 days off I work a 4/2 roster meaning 4 weeks on 2 weeks off out at the Kens Bore Iron ore Project we operate 375 tonne road trains which are limited to about 65 km per hour loaded and 80 km per hour empty. The company flys us direct from Brisbane QLD to Kens Bore Western Australia on a 5 hour charter flight. Front trailer usually loaded with 85 tonne and the back 2 trailers with about 90 tonne. Average load weight 265 tonnes plus tare weight.

    You Sir are 100% correct.

I'd like to lie and say this is the before. But it's actually after hours of work. Gonna take sometime.

Also trying to remember why I had so many driveshafts.

I kept one that I know what it fits. I also have about 3 th350 trans, chevy and bop. A T5, and cast iron powerglide. I don't know if I should advertise them cheap or just junk them.
