My truck came with the swivel brackets for a flat screen. So far, if I want to watch anything, I use my phone with unlimited data and the Paramount+ app.
Not in a big hurry to buy a flat screen, I do have a laptop I could bring along as well, but would like something a little more permanant.
What set up do you have in the sleeper?
Let's talk flat screens in the truck bunk!

Can you buy a TV to hook up to your phone? I would think about that.
tscottme Thanks this. -
I have a 400 watt inverter in the cabinet behind the TV. I buy a TV for the house @115v. I dont buy the 12v truck TV's.
I just plug the 115V TV into the inverter and let'er rip. Better TV's than those 12v truck TVs.
You can use your phone to connect to the TV via bluetooth or wifi, whatever and stream. The thing about that is, you need unlimited data and you need to be able to have enough wifi speed to stream. I've never had any success with it but I think some do it so I can't say.
When I park for the night, I try to find a place that is safe but close enough to a decent size town/city that broadcasts over the air and use the truck antenna. I can usually always get a few channels. If I stay near DFW, I can get like 50 - 75 channels and plenty of choices.hope not dumb twucker and tscottme Thank this. -
Here is the tv I just posted in the Electronics section, it is a little pricy but worth it.

If you have an Apple iPhone, you can hook it up to a tv with an HDMI adapter. I use one all the time at the office.hope not dumb twucker and Crude Truckin' Thank this. -

Yes, sort of. Buy a small flat screen tv, Amazon Firestick, and use your android phone to "cast" what you see on your phone to the TV. Or just use the Firestick's apps including internet browser, YouTube, etc and just use the phone as a hotspot if you have enough data.
If I recall my 2021 Cascadia, about the biggest TV that fit was a 28-32 inch TV. The Amazon Firestick TV Max or Firestick 4k Max are about $50. You need an Amazon Prime account to use it.
I believe Google ChromeCast and other devices with "cast" in their name or description provide the same ability. Casting is the act of sharing the screen of one device to another device.Last edited: Nov 20, 2025

Kids these days think watching some movie from the 2000s in less than 16K Ultra HD IMAX is as much torture as dial-up connection to the internet. On the smallish TV you can put in a truck it's hard to see much difference between 720 and anything better but FOMO makes some people unable to enjoy something unless it's the very best in the world and better than EVERY 13 year old's device in Hong Kong.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.
