Even then, common sense would dictate that some of these drivers would pay attention to changing weather conditions (and associated weather forecasts).
You have to remember we’re at the tail end of November, going into December. It isn’t June or July anymore.
For all intents and purposes the lion’s share of the country should literally be buried under snow and ice right now.
There are many tools out there for drivers to use to anticipate bad weather along their route(s) and yet they don’t use them.
And that’s before you even get behind the wheel.

I'd say it's more like Corpus. Nice ocean view, but go a couple blocks from the tourist area and you're in the hood. Having a good time though.Last edited: Nov 27, 2025

Stop it, STOP IT,,,oh, it's okay, P.R.has it's share of disasters, it may not snow, but hurricanes and snakes in the street isn't for me. This foolishness is a tad early, and this is where it's hard to find an excuse for it. Again, these stupid phones have turned peoples brains to mush, they literally can't think for themselves, and this is the result. Especially in a place like Minnesota, come on,,known for weather like this, how else could anyone be so disconnected to what's going on around you, it's got to be the phones. As mentioned, when we had CBs, we absolutely relied on them to AVOID this very situation. I say this every year, it's also partially to blame, the equipment. These "rolling apts" you folks drive, it's very hard to tell of changing conditions, until it's obviously too late. When you were driving an R model Mack with (worn) bias ply tires, hanging on for dear life, we never had situations like this, or never heard about them. Like the UPS plane crash, this is the cost of an overwhelmed modern society, and it's only going to get worse. Charge up them camera phones, a new storm across the Midwest Fr-Sat. should provide plenty of fodder,,,Concorde, hope not dumb twucker and 1999 C12 Thank this.

VHF radio is still pretty common up here in BC (lots of loggers, heavy haulers, tankers, flatdecks)---- vans....not so much (probably most don't even have a radio)
Has saved me trouble several times over the years. Even something as basic as a deer on the road: "drivers deer on road"
But...we have very few large 4 lane hwy's here. These courtesy's occur mainly on the 2 lane roads. Bush roads (mountains, winding, narrow; all trucks are calling km boards. Lots of camaraderie in those situations. -
The start of not thinking for yourself has started long before AI come around…201 and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.
