If you're wanting to try OTR again, just apply to all of the starter companies again and see what happens. It's a real chance that you'll have to wait till at least August of next year to get on with a reputable company. What you will want to look for locally is a job that will allow you to get tractor-trailer experience if possible. I say that because where I work, they will hire a driver with 1 year OTR experience, or 2 years tractor trailer experience if local/regional. That's a bit of a guideline for you and your job search.

Cheeseman out of Ft Recovery, OH.

They have a good SAFER score.....reviews either love 'em or hate 'em.

    Worth a look.

Could get a warehouse fork lift job. Apparently they pay 21 ish an hour. Then continue to look for a CDL job.

    Either way good luck.
