Stopped by the local running store to get a new pair of shoes. They had to order them because they don’t carry a lot of size 14’s. But I was between a pair of Mizuno’s and Nike. I went with the Nike’s because they had a little more arch support. Unfortunately they won’t be here for a week or so. But I got the Nike Pegasus 41. Also is a picture of the bottom of my shoes now. Apparently you’re supposed to replace them every six months, learned that today.

Awesome run there with a great pace! My brother and I got out for a short tempo (for me) run this morning too before hitting the weights.

Great tempo run with negative splits! And your heart rate was low for that style running, nice work!

4mer trucker and Oxbow Thank this.

Nice little post turkey trial run. It’s so much more enjoyable running with someone than by yourself.

4mer trucker and Oxbow Thank this.

A lifetime ago it seems, use to run when I worked at the golf club. Used to wear Mizuno. Replaced them every 3 months. Mostly because I was able to get them at cost minus 20% from the Mizuno golf rep. Really liked them, durable and light, didn’t run too far like you fellas though. Three days a week 10k, 2 short 5k the other 2 days and then weekends off, busy at the club on weekends.

Did you run the cart path there? I run the cart path here sometimes for a nice change of pace. There’s some good elevation changes too.

No, too snooty. Would take off from the staff house and go through a couple of farm fields to the road at the back of the island and make my way back. Would usually go after work, those days I started at 5:30 at the club. Would normally get home from the bars and after parties just in time to change and get to work . Ran after my shift around 2:30-3 in the afternoon, short nap, 18 holes and back to the clubs.
It was nice having room and board included in my pay as I was here by myself and seemed to spend whatever was put in my hand in those days :D
Would have been great to run the cart paths though, very peaceful
