Yeah, on a 2 lane, with a lot of hills and curves, and you're the fifth one behind a vehicle doing 35, when conditions do not warrant it. You go right ahead, and attempt the pass.
Who's the worst traffic wise in your opinion?

Ok, I will.
If you're comfortable with more than what the right lane is offering, then you go in the left and pass it. If you're not comfortable with passing it because of conditions, then it sounds like you're right where you should be. You don't get to be both afraid to pass and also mad at people in front of you in the right lane for going "too slow". I would hate for a new driver to read this thread and think they're going to piss off other drivers if they're not driving fast enough in poor conditions.Last edited: Dec 4, 2025

If you are going 25mph while everyone else is going at least 45 and you've got a line up of trucks behind you then yeah. You should be worried about pissing other drivers off. If you are that scared.get off the road you are a danger to yourself and others.

I guess, but it's pretty far down the list of things I'm going to get mad at on the road. I'd rather them drive slow than jackknife the truck and create a 90 minute traffic delay to get past it.

Did you read the post? I said 2 lane, ya know, a backroads highway, not I 70. US20, US12 in Michigan, type thing.Numb Thanks this.

I must admit, I did read your post too fast, my fault. Still though, in the situation you're painting, wouldn't you rather the front truck drive at the speed where they feel in control rather than doing something that will really ruin your day? I know we'd all like those guys to just park it, but that's not dealing in reality.Carpenter Scotty and Lonesome Thank this.
