Surge isn’t nothing to be scared of. Fact is I enjoy the gentle rocking. I will tell you this for a fact. With a half full tank and you slam on the brakes at a red light. It will for a fact push you into the intersection. 2 years ago I got hooked up with a guy that had iso tanks coming out of Memphis back to the house. 2 trips one week and three the next. For 2 months. They weighed 58,000 and they wanted a lowboy to move them. Paid round trip. And tbh it really gave me the itch to go back to liquid permanently. I forgot how I enjoyed the rocking back and forth as I rolled down the road.

Use the surge to accelerate going through the gears. I drove on the west coast along the Ocean. Lots of corners. The product would climb up on the sides of the tanks. Roll easy.

Learn to shift in between the surge and you will keep it to a minimum. Don’t drop it off the shoulder and don’t take off ramps faster than posted speed

My first driving job back in the 70's was delivering swinging beef within about a 150 mile radius.
Show up to a store. Unhook from the rail and carry to the back the quarters for that store and drop them on the tail.
Jump down flip it on your shoulder and carry it into the store and hang it in their cooler.
There was a saying there, "The first day separates the men from the boys, the second separates the men from the idiots"

The OM and I have both FROZEN TO DEATH AND DIED.

The OM has me light the bunk heater immediately when we got here, but she got too hot.

    Then we fell asleep.

Trying to relight, but it might be too late.
