Who's the worst traffic wise in your opinion?

Discussion in 'Experienced Truckers' Advice' started by Hammer166, Dec 2, 2025.

Who is the worst?

  1. The idiot driving entirely too slow for conditions who won't hit the wide spot.

  2. The jabronis who space out behind that idiot and make impossible to pass

  3. The i'M bElOw ThE sPeEd LiMiT fool in the middle of the line with the flashers going

  4. The smarmy safe drivers who are gonna flood this thread scolding us as unsafe

  5. All of the above

4 ways on also makes it hard for the driver behind you to tell if you are turning, etc.

Part of me is "why bother" but the part of me that's disgusted with the evaporation of the knowledge base in trucking can't let stuff go unchallenged. So...

There's a time and place for 4-ways to give folks a heads up. Unfortunately, most drivers apply zero thinking to their use, and fall back on the black& white stances that the idiots in the safety departments have driven into their drivers.

A sudden drop in speeds? Absolutely, with no one running radios anymore, it's gets everyone's attention.

50 idiots in slow traffic all running flashers because i'M bElOw ThE sPeEd LiMiT? Emphasis on the idiot part of that sentence.

I could go on but I got things I got to do.

Remember the days when seeing someone with 4 ways on meant something is wrong?

It's as if they are perceived as being cloaked in a safety veil when turned on.

The ones 100 yards off the roadway with the flashers on make me chuckle.

Like who TF is gonna run up your ### over there?

Somewhere there is a driver pulling an Amazon trailer with a non-domicile CDL saying “I accept this challenge!”.

@Hammer166 mentioned an evaporation of the knowledge base……I can’t say as I’ve ever heard that. But I also can’t agree with that statement more.

My first real experience in winter was in Thunder snow. Had an ol head with me that didn’t read well at all unless it was a map. I learned more about what we were doing from Joplin to Canadian Texas that night than any other single time. Yes I knew him yes I trusted him. But without a CB radio and us both speaking the English language I’d still be stupid about how to handle it.

Sad thing this new drivers say they is no need for either. So I say #### them stupid lil m’fers. Get in the ditch and outta my ####in way

Every 4 wheeler in the south does this on a rainy day. It's as if the roads suddenly dried up, the sun came out, and now its okay to do whatever speed you're doing.

I think we can all agree that trucking has been reduced to the lowest common denominator. Don’t believe me? Got to the T/A and look at the Popeyes. For some reason they have to take a mandatory 11 hours off every day and yet can find time to wash themselves or their clothes. They all sit in there looking like hobo air traffic controllers with these giant headsets on. Nobody shower, nobody shaves, nobody has clean clothes.

But yet they don’t run as hard, have trucks that are more comfortable, don’t have to shower with 10 other dudes in a shower room.

They are lazy, and isolated and all going to an early grave.

their grandpa’s are disgusted in them. Soft, lazy, limp dicks. That’s what a truck driver is today.
