    jurupa valley at home.
on my way back to terminal yesterday heard a low pop.
sounded like popping a paper bag
saw a peice of rubber fly off the roght side.
pulled off copus rd sb 5 and checked tires.
one tire was flat. had a sidewall blow out. on driverside.
when tire tech showed up i showed him another bald tire and swift agreed to replace that.
weird because it wasnt the normal loud bang.
thinking maybe i ran over something

    Moosetek13 and Rugerfan Thank this.

Drivers dont realize, if you drive over a curb (for instance) you damage the sidewall, then when the weather warms up so do the tires and someone has a blowout from the tire you damaged months or weeks earlier, this is the season for blowouts, most important thump your tires a couple of times per day, use a gauge weekly or anytime you suspect a tire more than 10 lbs or so soft.

it probably had seperation happening on the sidewall, unless you crawled under with a flashlight you would know. A proper pretrip does include visual inspection of the sidewalls of the tires. I dont know of many whom properly inspect there equipment, rver. let alone once a day even. thumpiming tires is meant for during the day, not pre & post trips. And by the way all was not good, thats why you had a blowout, proper pretrip should have caught the sidewall buldging.

update on what i been doing.
got on whats called i5 south fleet.
suppose to pick up general freight loads around jurupa and deliver anywhere around i5 corridor. hopefully around bay area.
then go to amazon in hollister ca and deliver it to moreno valley amazon.. today the first trip i actually did that lol.
most of the times i grab a load around jurupa and deliver it around tracy.
then get general freight around there and deliver it around jurupa.
terminal manager says i keep on this till costco position opens up in mid jan.
also need to get my physical done b4 end of next month
