Recently I have been thinking of leasing on to Bruce Oakley, I know I don't want to do Hopper Bottom, I have experience in both End Dump and Pneumatic Bulk Tanker. Personally Bulk tank is not something that I enjoyed doing, between extreme waits at docks or waiting for 12 hrs to get loaded at a plant, just not my cup of tea. I ran End Dumps for years, and throughly enjoyed it. I see them running I-10 all the time, just wondering if anyone on here actually runs for them and if the numbers the recruiters are talking about are true or are they bloated. I have no problem getting a truck, and know what I want, only down side is that I know they are really leaning to have nothing older than 2017, so obviously emissions. At the end of the day if that motor goes do they want you to go and replace it with the same or are they okay with replacing it with a pre-emissions, and or just starting with a glider kit. Any information to make a decision is greatly appreciated!!

I dont have personal experience with Bruce Oakley, but my dad does. Bruce Oakley is worse than TMC when it comes to being strict. No facial hair, no long hair, always calling to ask where you're at, etc.
Bruce is a glorified company job with zero freedom. Your best bet is going to landstar, mercer or heniff if you want some more freedom -
or page/US bulk if he want to run a bucket …

You are 100% full of crap! I'm an owner operator here at Oakley. Yes, they don't allow facial hair except for a trimmed mustache, but no beards or goatee. No longer hair, also no shorts, pajama pants, crocs or slippers. We are not a company of ####bags like most allow. They DO NOT call and ask where we are, as they can see us on our geotab if they need. We do have to do a morning check call to update our dispatcher with ETA's, or get load information for upcoming loads. Strict? Nope! They're only strict about logs so guys don't run loads on PC or over hours. I have complete freedom to take off when I want, run when and where I want, fuel where I want, do what I want. They DO want us to keep our equipment clean as it's a direct reflection on the company as a whole, just like having clean, well groomed drivers. I've only been OTR for 43 years and an owner operator for over 30 of those, and there's absolutely nothing at Oakley that is company driver like. You're talking out of your ### with absolutely zero knowledge of what you're saying.mwhjr1988 Thanks this.
