The paperwork pushers shouldn’t give you bad info on the BOL…no disagreement. A bunch of them have an IQ and common sense problem too though so we all know how it goes out in the real world some days.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

The problem is the driver, obviously could hardly comprehend the English language, so no matter what information Amazon gave him he wasn’t gonna be able to understand any of it to a point of being able to understand where to go… He should have never had a CDL should’ve never been behind the wheel of that truck
rollin coal, DannyB, tscottme and 4 others Thank this. -
At LAX all the shipping and recieving warehouse for the airport are on the south side, about a mile from where he was. Its not Amazons diection been there using there address, nowhere near the people terminal. First you need to read and understand what your reading, and Garmin did not send hime to 1 world way, unless he ask fo that address.. In any case made Alex some money.drvrtech77 Thanks this.

Amazon has several warehouses titled LAX###, none of them are at or even near the airport, from Santa Monica to Bloomington, but he probably was picking up at one ot the terminal off Imperial Hwy on the south side of the airport. Should have exited Imperial/Century not Passenger Arrival.

It's only a matter of time before some of these foreign goobers wind up doing a u-turn on a runway.

I done a handful of airport deliveries, mine was all jobsites doing actual work on a terminal or building and u end up in crap like this... Even with making phone calls its usually bad directions regardless... Im sure door slammer had no reason to be there
TripleSix Thanks this. -
I’ve done thousands. Memphis, Chicago, Atlanta and Baltimore. Mainly aircraft engines, but also a few gangways and in ground fuel tanks. I don’t like doing the “always and never” talk, but every airport load I’ve ever delivered was on the cargo route. The biggest airport will have signs directing to the cargo holds. Now, depending on the size of the load, security may have special provisions…like a gate that’s normally blocked with a jersey barrier…but that’s the driver’s job to figure this out.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, when doing an airport delivery, you will have an importer/exporter that you sign in with and they will have an escort lead you to where you need to go, usually through a security checkpoint and then inside and around the runway. The main one coming to mind is Swissport International.
The big boys, like UPS, FedEx and Delta, will have their own section of airport, massive places always parking available and much simpler to deal with.Last edited: Dec 19, 2025 at 11:48 PM
