Submitted my application today so I'll be waiting to hear from recruiting. I was wondering if anyone who recently went through orientation and load securement training could give me some insight as to what to expect. Also, if anyone has anything they want to add about their experience with Maverick, good or bad, what also be appreciated.

Steve; check out the thread "Heading for Little Rock! Maverick" JimTheHut recently went through orientation, securement and training; very informative information from him as well as info/advice from other class act drivers for Maverick.

Best of luck and God Bless; Lords Will I will be heading that way around mid June.

    steveluc3 Thanks this.

Welcome to the family sir. Since you've posted in here, while waiting for answer from recruiting, read other threads in here re Maverick, especially complaints about maverick's recruiting hiring practices. Not to discourage you but just to give you an idea(s) of what to do and what not to do. Be safe. Have fun

    steveluc3 Thanks this.

Still waiting on response from one previous employer before the hiring process continues. I am wondering about orientation and how involved the road test is? I haven't driven a class A in almost 2.5 years and worried about getting sent home if I don't do well on the road test. ( i.e. grinding gears etc). Any input on this will help.

Nothing to worry about the driving test. The truck is an automatic. I just went threw orientation last week. Just go below the speed limit, and pay attention to what they say. Take off ramps 10-15mph below the posted speed. I had a great time in orientation, learned a lot, instructors are great and top notch. They tell you the truth. Securement training, was great also. I never driven a flatbed, so everything I learned was from the best. Just my opinion

Hello all I am also curious about the orientation process. I am scheduled for orientation sunday may 16. I am very excited and have heard good reviews on the company. I had my knee operated on in 05 but it is fine and I have a relaease and told my recruiter, but its kinda got me worried as far as them accepting me. I have driven a tri axle dump and pulled dump trailors local so I am very excited to get on the road and launch my career! I hope it all goes well. Any input or recommendations appreciated. Thanks
