2017 cascadia with dd15. The engine oil level varies with air bags suspension deflated. It is not a significant variation nor has any issues, but is something that is noticeable when inspecting fluid levels with suspension up or down. Engine runs fine with no codes.

Primary tank check valve has been replaced which is the one with a round object inside.

Thanks for your help. If anyone is familiar with this observation please let me know what you think the issue may be, if there is one at all.

You're tipping the motor back when you drop the bags. Unless the dipstick is dead center in the crankcase, you'll see a level change. It's no different than showing a bit low because you're parked slightly nose high.

Hammer that's a great observation and the answer to my question. I wanted to find out where the oil level line would reach inside the deep side of the oil pan in relation to the higher level closer to the back towards the transmission. Thanks to your observation, I can now deduct that the oil level, when full of oil to capacity, is either flush to the deep side and the shallow side edge or mildly surpasses that point where deflating the airbags ,makes a visible difference. By the way, the reason I am asking is because before replacing the suspension airbags which where firestone for alliance airbags that are significantly higher or taller than firestone the oil difference i am mentioning on the post became larger and I could figure out your answer on my own, so I started following all the airlines from the air tanks to the engine which doesn't make any sense, but then also started considering checking the oil suctioning seals inside the oil pan, but before let's ask the forum.

    thanks hammer
