Just like vegans and people who do cross fit. No need to ask them because it’s the first thing they say in a conversation.

I didn't go home empty. I was HEADED home empty after a solid multi stop load. 300 miles from the house and I just HAD to check the boards to see if there were any desperate brokers. Well, there were! I took a $5/mi. load that was picking up 5 miles from my last drop and headed to a drop 30 minutes from my house. Light load, delivery next Monday, only catch is I HAD to be home for a family thing next morning, this would be Christmas Eve morning. I thought, cool, Christmas bonus! Well, that'll teach me.

I wound up sitting over 6 hours to get loaded. Longest I've waited anywhere in years......by far. I broke my clock and drove into the early morning, after starting the previous morning early, just to get home. Just HAD to get that last load of the year in, didn't I? Thanks broker! Thanks lousy ###, disorganized, slow as CHRISTMAS shipper! I'll enjoy that little bonus later if I can forget how I got it.

Anyway, good year overall. And I'm calling it. Cheers everyone.

The only answer I can think of that even remotely makes any sense: she works the scales at a DOT weigh station somewhere.

She'll NE-VER admit it -- but secretly, I think she wishes she was out there...driving a big rig, too.
    :p :D

Some of our shippers dont use seals. Now I throw one of our company seals on there with my padlock, but you know some of these drivers wouldn't. o_O

I feel your pain Sir. Canadian here, as well.... I do East-Coast with the occasional Mid-west load and fortunately for me as an O/O there has been work, but nothing like before. Thank good for the direct customers my company has, that kept us going for the year. But i remember how good it used to be before. Lot's of pick and chose between drivers. Nowadays? nothing. Dispatch offers a load, i take it unless it's at a loss. But sometimes, if the reload makes up for it i even run like that....

The tariffs + covid boom destroyed so many things..... Here's hoping that 2026 get's better for us!

True, but motorcycle doors and rabbit tracks still have premium rates! Merry Christmas!

Ha. You figured out why that load paid well. I deal with slow as f places all the time. The workers are lazy ### hourly dipsh!ts that couldn't care less about affecting others

86scotty, OldeSkool and Trucker61016 Thank this.

    Well, thanks for the concern.

If they are empty, it is not because of a lack of work but because there is work.

I think it is important to be concern but please be informed about it.

    Trucker61016 Thanks this.

I usually only seal my trailer before going in somewhere, I’m in and out of it too much moving stuff around and messing with the bulkhead to throw that many seals away

if I’m leaving it unattended I’ll put a lock on it
