Why would a crash that wasn’t my fault (someone hit me) go on my MVR? I can’t get hired because of it. I have attached the report to this post.

You can dispute the accident entry on your mvr through your dmv.

What you’ll need for the dispute…

Your police report showing no citations issued an a determination letter from your insurance company stating you were not found at fault.

    Good luck..

fwiw I didn’t look at your attachment, didn’t want to download it..

The MVR tracks events, while insurance records track financial impacts; an event that wasn't your fault can still trigger a record and affect rates until formally corrected, notes

Texas is a at fault state so that works in your favor. Just dispute the entry and you should be able to get it removed.

If a report was taken, it will show up on your MVR regardless if it was your fault or not. But it should say it was not your fault, some companies might hold against you, thinking it could’ve been preventable though.

This is exactly why I paid for the crash report myself and disclose in my application that I have it if they want to see it. No such luck though, they just see crash and reject me.

I know many drivers who have accidents on their DMV. About half of them were either 100% at fault or were partly at fault. Not a single one of them, as far as I know, was NOT able to get hired. So, I downloaded that report and looked at the officer's writings. It looks like a 4-wheeler yanked a stupid, and you and the other vehicle got brake checked. The other vehicle then left the lane and hit your trailer.

Outside of saying carriers are not hiring like they used to. Because if a carrier is hiring but not hiring you, something is causing this, I am also getting a vibe it is not 100% because of THIS accident. I always develop a bit of piloerection when somebody who has not been a TTR member for a month yet posts a question about not being hired. I may be 100% full of [redacted], and I am sure others will agree. I'm sorry, this simply does not pass the smell test!

Going forward, I wish you good luck finding a job.
