Lol. Honestly Amazon isn't much better these days...at least in my opinion. Probably just gonna order from Raney's. I am going to call my local truck shop tomorrow and see if they ever order any in and see what those cost. Just to check. They might get a break on shipping costs. Lots of places have said free shipping if your address is commerical. Mine is a farm...but I guess that isn't commercial enough. Have had plenty of LTL out here for bigger deliveries. Oh well!

I new someone many moons ago, he went to a fabricator, he measured cut some round tubing pipe (6” back then), sent them out to a chrome place, had them dipped and done. Fabricator also made the brackets(i personally didn’t like the way the brackets came out). Just a thought. I’m aware that the EPA has been putting some of these chroming places out of business.

    Cheap isn't always better
Cheapest isn't always better. I have Dynaflex. I have had them a long time, not cheap though.

I have Lincoln on my brown truck. Which they come off black truck when I went to 8’s. They were originally put on in 2018 got a 1/2 a million on them generously guessing and still look good. Not bad in my opinion

I always got the best prices at Chrome Depot. Mantua Ohio off the turnpike exit 193 1/2 mile north. They have a website. Get the good clamps.

Some of the chrome shops down here are selling stacks that are being chromed down in ‘ole Mex. Much better then some of the stuff from china. Heavy gauge tubing ti begin with. Not sure what to think about some of china’s stainless. It seems to be a hybrid or something. I’ve seen a lot of it dull out or turn yellow from heat and get rust stains on it. Something real stainless shouldn't do.

Not many in house plating shops anymore. We had 3 good ones here and they closed up as soon as their stock pile chemical supplies depleted. The last one spent its last few years sending the pieces down to ‘ole Mex to have them done. Not the same quality they were doing in house.
There is one still hanging on in Houston due to the oilfield and heavy equipment manufacturers around there. Friend of mine just finished a ‘68 Autocar and is working on ‘61 Pete. He has spend a few grand on replating various pieces. They ain't cheap.
