If you live in Crashville, check out Millis Transfer. I have worked for both companies and Millis is a better company from a driver's perspective. Once they know that you are reliable, they pretty much leave you alone. No micromanaging, a lot of drop and hook, and rarely sitting at a customer for hours (usually only on broker loads). They have nice equipment, good pay and miles. Don't fall for the per diem scam though. Go straight pay on practical miles. Oh and their trucks are faster.![]()

Weazz: be careful. There's a note on the wall in the Marietta shop that says "If you see a laptop mounted in a truck where the driver can fool with it while driving, call safety. Remind the driver that the fine for that can be as high as $500"
Supersnackbar: They work fine on the inside and outside. The moisture doesn't affect a low-voltage, brushless DC fan - it would even work submerged if it had enough torque to get the water moving well enough. In fact, that's exactly what's installed from the factory on the newer Coleman coolers. They're just 60mm rather than 80mm, and thus inferior - the only downfall is that the original fan guard won't work on the 80mm fan - that's why I use the aftermarket fan guard

I always wondered if you were in an accident and there was a laptop on a stand within reach if that would be a problem? I use mine for GPS nav, but would they (DOT) see that as computer use while driving? No different than pushing buttons on a Tom Tom i think.

My apologies. They were actually coleman motors

Does anybody know if Crete has any plans to retrofit the Cascadias and the Prostars that do not have the skirts? Rumor has it that if you don't have skirts you will no longer be dispatched on any Commiefornia loads.
-
If true, it will suck for me trying to get home...seeing that I live in CA and have a truck without skirts. You sure they weren't talking about trailer skirts? I know that CARB is starting to require them, and have seen a couple Crete trailers with those.
Had 13,898 from the 13th of April through the 12th of May. Was planning on staying out until the end of June but truck had to go to a dealer for a recall on the dpf and I happened to be close to home so I took the ht while the truck is getting "fixed". Must say, I haven't had problem 1 with the Prostar except the weight. Pulls good, hasn't broke at all. -
California certainly doesn't require skirts on trucks (yet) . Unless its a new Crete policy, ask that question on your qlcom and see what they say.
-
If that's the case why bother with them in the first place? The trucks are already heavy enough as it is w/o the added weight.

I'm on vacation now and my truck is at International as well. My OnGuard system is totally wacked. The dealership said they have never seen anything like it before. Luckily I'm on vacation. They have had it since monday and I might not get it back till tuesday.Last edited: May 14, 2010

Luckily I don't have the onguard. Wound up with a truck with EOBR but thankfully, no collision avoidance.
