Trip wasn’t to bad
Picked up a load about 92 miles from drop off going to Tomah Wisconsin delivering today
Then dispatch called and said oh I have a driver that needs to get home in Minnesota so meet him at our drop yard south of Chicago you take the delivery to Indianapolis then go home
Only crappy thing is I’m sitting 30 mins away from delivery got here at 13:30 on 1/1/26 and it doesn’t deliver until 1/2/26 at 20:30 so gotta sit here 2 hrs from home twiddling my thumbs for almost 30 hrs
FML

Always a relief when the holiday nonsense is over and everybody’s out of excuses why it ain’t getting done today or this week.
To me going home every night is overrated and I get bored with the same scenery and commute every day. And the 5 days on, 2 days off routine always pissed me off. It’s like woo-hoo, I get two days to go live life on my own terms before going back to the plantation for another week. And I’ve always rather enjoyed being out on the road over the weekend lining up a Monday delivery. That’s butt-kickin time when everybody else is home screwing off. -
Well congratulations to you THAT HAD ZERO To do with my original post

Touch a nerve did I? Lol. That was in response to your griping about having to sit there for 30 hours because of New Year’s Day but whatever. Happy new year.
