CRST is only team driven.
So, you better be able to sleep in a bumpy bunk. -
Maybe if you'd suck it up and stick with a co-driver long enough to get higher than a 5 speed rating, you'd make some money. Just call it a suggestion from someone who's been at the company longer than you and does make money.road dust Thanks this. -
well 1st off its not me thats jumping from the truck, these FM's keep giving me what they are saying is a QUICK FIX. so if anyone needs to suck it up its them! if they would do the job they are suppose to do I wouldnt be starving,...

theres a reason all you see is bad. its all bad.
I did what i could there couldnt make money. Eventually i ended up at werner running the same way i did there, and for the most part i made good money..until just recently, with a truck that keeps breaking down and constant border crossings for free...

First off do whatever you want to. I assume that you are an adult capable making your own decisions.
Disclaimer - I have never driven for CRST (nor would I)
Why would you want to drive for 11 cents a mile? Ok put it another way. Why would you want to drive for 22 cents a mile?
It works out the same.
Do the math - the likelyhood is that your truck will run about 5000 per week. Whether you split the miles or the pay you end up with about $550.00 pre-tax (gross) on a good week.
Take taxes out and you've got about $400.00 net. Take road expenses out (at least $100.00 if you're really cheap) and you end up with $300.00 to put in the bank on a good week.
So you're gonna be working for around $5.00 per hour (if you drive around 60-70 hours per week) and, living in a small space with somebody you don't really know that well, for weeks on end.
Plus there's all the really neat stories on here (and elswhere) about CRST.
But hey knock your socks off ...... at least you get to drive big truck!

Nobody even asked what you meant by training program. I wouldn't recommend getting a cdl through any company.
They are probably as good as any other starter company. Probably just as bad too. I've been with them 3 months. I had a good trainer. My co-driver is not the greatest but I deal with it. I'm thinking about going into their lease program in 5 months. Either that or leave and go solo after 3 more months. -
If all you can find is bad that should tell ya something. So far only one person has laid claim to making any kind of money there.
