    Hey all, glad to be here. My name is Michael and I currently live in California. I am here to learn. My Father has driven for UPS for over 25 years and my Father-in-law has been driving OTR for about 10 years and I am very interested in driving some day as well. Look forward to finding out all about trucking and what it intels!

    Thanks guys! Glad to be here. So, how about the maintenance on the trucks? Who does that? The driver or are you suppoed to take it to a shop?

    I am KH, a greeter. First off welcome to one of the greatest networking sites a trucker has in his bag of tools.

    For company drivers you more than likely do your maintenance at your home terminal or at a dealer. Sometimes if a break down occurs where you are closer to a dealer, companies will put you in a motel while your truck is at the dealer. I hope this answers the questions you asked. Is their any particular company you are looking at??
