According to Mutha Trucker early reports are indicating Prime and Western Flyer Express are merging together with Prime taking over.

Expect a mass exodus of Western Flyer drivers if their trucks are turned down to below 65 mph.

There is no merger between Prime and WFX. WFX has partnered with Prime in a power only agreement, where WFX Refrigerated contractors and drivers will be utilized to haul Prime freight and pull Prime equipment. In turn, Prime will utilize WFX equipment as well. Nothing changes for WFX drivers or contractors. I am a WFX contractor and have been for two plus years. We will simply have access to Prime freight, equipment, fuel network, and facilities. WFX contractors will see no change in leasing, pay, or anything else; likewise for company drivers. This is only the refrigerated division of WFX. Nothing changes for the dry division. This is a partnership, similar to what they did with Trans Am, not a merger.

Same thing was said when Heartland bought Interstate.
Also when Heartland also bought Millis Transfer, and their drivers were reporting that the company has gone downhill since.
And then of course when Yellow bought Roadway-we all know how that “partnership” went!!

Sounds like basically the same thing that Wilson Logistics has been doing with Prime for years now.

Trucker61016, Lonesome and mjd4277 Thank this.

Having to deal with all the "power only" carriers that partnered with prime.

Prime always forces their show onto the "partner"

Soon WFX will be forced to take on overflow prime new hires and youll then embrace the suck that is working in proximity to all the brain dead prime drivers.

Atleast that's what a few wilson trainers have told me.

    TruckDriver87 and Trucker61016 Thank this.

Western Flyer Express (WFX) has faced significant financial and operational challenges, highlighted by major lawsuits alleging fraud in their driver lease-purchase programs, leading to driver dissatisfaction, financial hardship, pay/benefit cuts after the IWX acquisition, and reports of losing freight and struggling with a downturned freight market.

    mjd4277 and 48Packard Thank this.
