I've found that it only freezes after I turn the screen back on after being off overnight. So I just don't turn the screen off overnight and keep it covered with the curtains. Usually the trailer number stays saved unless the app restarts for whatever reason, or if the screen is off overnight, so another reason I keep it on 24/7. Is it bad for the screen? Maybe. Am I paying for it when it needs replaced? Nope. lol

I was beta testing samsara here for this little project and I wasn’t overly impressed with it. Felt like it was someone’s first attempt at writing the program… constantly tapping the screen to get in then out then in to do anything.

Isaac is a lot more solid and intentional and probably the best of the options we tested but I’m not sure I like the overall implementation… it’s more GPS and “Coach” and the ELD functions seem to take a back seat to other stuff.

Nothing is perfect and it is the best option we tested… I hope it’s more solid on the backside too… it will be a good option going forward and I’m sure things will smooth out more and more as everything solidifies around it going forward.

 

Actually, with Isaac, since I only see one number that means much to me, I tend to just shut off the screen until I need to see the clock… and it doesn’t show the 14 clock at all unless you stop.

aOh, and you can’t scratch your nose unless you set your airbrakes.

 

I’d do that if mine would let me. But it doesn’t. 90 percent of the time mine shuts off. The other 10 it will stay on. But still won’t respond to input for extended time.

 

Yeah I’d agree. Can’t believe I’m saying that about Isaac.

 

Scratch it I said f’em I picked it. Let’em appreciate the booger with me. lol.

Are we losing the option to have our cameras disabled? Tyson went down the watching and coaching path. That’s why I work here. It’s probably time for me to consider a career change anyway. The burn out is real.

 

The one they installed in my truck came with a sticker on the camera so I am guessing they have it disabled by sticker until you get on the naughty list and they also turn the driver facing camera on
