Tanker is an easy endorsement, and once you do it it will force you to drive more safely, which is the life hack, for a long career in trucking. Another benefit is tankers are easier to park because they are usually only 48 feet long and you have better visibility to the rear. IMO, it's the gentleman's section of trucking.
I'm sick of this!

Memphis has double the crime rate of Nashville and 3 times the murder rate.
From AI:
"Memphis has significantly higher crime rates than Nashville, with a total crime rate of approximately 9,400 incidents per 100,000 residents compared to Nashville's rate of about 5,634. Memphis leads in both violent and property crimes, making it one of the most dangerous cities in the U.S."austinmike, MattaCracker and Mega Express Thank this. -
Fuel hailing usually means home daily and 12 hour days. New guys usually work nights and have 1 or 2 weekdays off. Fuel hailing has lower turnover.Mega Express Thanks this.

You know you can't always trust that AI. I think I might just have to take the risk. I think most statistics are manipulated by the government anyways, in order to create the numbers they need in order to get the funding they require. I'm sure if they're short a few homicides they can just pay to get the number to go up. I'm from Chicago, you wanna know why they call the projects the projects? They're not finished. I think it's around 90% of the murders in that city happen in the same 10 block radius every year. You should look up the pension fund if the Chicago police, and the number of cops that city actually has compared to NYC. Just rambling. Memphis is what it is but I do appreciate your concern.austinmike and bryan21384 Thank this.

Lol. Acknowledged. AI hasn't lived in either place. Memphis and Nashville are both dangerous in their own ways. Get caught in the wrong areas of either and that's your ###.austinmike, OldeSkool, navypoppop and 1 other person Thank this.

Just stay away from that loves. People shot there daily.MattaCracker, tscottme and Mega Express Thank this.

Ignoring reality is a great way to succeed. It's why Memphis is leading the state in economic development and family formation. /sarcasm
There are no statistics that show Memphis as more safe than Nashville, for example. People get comfortable in a situation and they don't distinguish between feeling comfortable and that situation being good. If the stats suggest what they are comfortable with is bad, then the statistics must be wrong and there must be a vast conspiracy because the statistics from EVERY source say the same thing. It can't be all bad, they have an NBA team. I looked up tickets and they're only 5 bucks. Fun and affordable for the whole family!austinmike, bryan21384, Warrior Pump and 1 other person Thank this.

Memphis crime rate got so high the Feds sent soldiers to the city to reinforce the police and patrol the streets.
Nobody is saying every square-inch of the city is a war zone. The number of murders and violent crimes in the city is higher than other cities, Maybe that makes it safer to some people. "Reality is what remains after you close your eyes."MattaCracker Thanks this. -
What I'm hearing is now Memphis not only has a police force, they also have a military. How much safer can it get!austinmike Thanks this.
