Tanker is an easy endorsement, and once you do it it will force you to drive more safely, which is the life hack, for a long career in trucking. Another benefit is tankers are easier to park because they are usually only 48 feet long and you have better visibility to the rear. IMO, it's the gentleman's section of trucking.

There are no statistics that show Memphis as more safe than Nashville, for example. People get comfortable in a situation and they don't distinguish between feeling comfortable and that situation being good. If the stats suggest what they are comfortable with is bad, then the statistics must be wrong and there must be a vast conspiracy because the statistics from EVERY source say the same thing. Nobody is saying every square-inch of the city is a war zone. The number of murders and violent crimes in the city is higher than other cities, Maybe that makes it safer to some people. "Reality is what remains after you close your eyes."
