I've held off commenting because I wanted to see more comments before I did. When a person is fired from their job, one of the first things they should do is have a real conversation with themselves about fixing the problem that caused them to lose that job.
I don't need to read any comments about carriers being scrum, I already know this. Yes, I know dispatchers demand drivers make pickups and deliveries, sometimes even when doing so causes an HOS violation. This is why I tell drivers to always have their safety dept phone number programmed in their phone. I personally have watched a safety person enter operations and verbally attack a person there with language that would cause a Sailor to blush.
After you have lost a job especally in today's tough job market, my best advice is to keep hitting the street and put in applications. You might have to accept a job hauling rubberized dog poop out of Omaha for a while. If you work that job and keep your nose clean, over time, your job prospects will broaden.
Time is ALWAYS your best friend. However, if you never learn from your mistakes, sadly, the only thing I can recommend is either flipping burgers at McDonalds or scrambled eggs at your local Waffle House. There is NOBODY on these forums up to and including the forum owner that can change this dynamic. This past week, I was speaking with a friend who is in safety with a top 20 carrier. This person told me they fired a new hire back in Dec because of damage to the right side of their tractor. Most of the old hands in here understand what that means. Not that drivers first preventable either.
I will close my comment this way. Every time you lose a driving job, the chances that your options get smaller increase.firemedic2816 Thanks this. -

May have to unless he's prepared to find another occupation.

This is why I never stop job searching. It's impossible to be perfect.

Always good to have a backup plan. Trucking is not a reliable job
